On Wednesday morning, there was a fatal crash involving a FedEx truck in Cerritos. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened near the intersection of South Street and Bloomfield Avenue at about 9:10 a.m. Apparently, a vehicle was traveling at high speeds prior to rear-ending the FedEx truck.  

When first responders arrived on the scene, they found at least six vehicles involved. They had to extricate somebody and transport another to a local trauma center for treatment of injuries. The driver of the vehicle that slammed into the FedEx truck died at the scene. Witness reports indicate that when the vehicle crashed into the FedEx truck, it sounded like an explosion, and debris was sent throughout the area. This fatal crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
