Over the weekend, there was a fatal crash on the southbound side of Interstate Five. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Saturday afternoon near Camp Pendleton. Initial reports indicate that there were two vehicles involved in the crash that happened just after 2:00 p.m. Apparently, several other vehicles pulled over to offer assistance to the driver in a minivan.  

Very few details have been released about this collision, but we do know that one person was killed. Traffic was backed up in the area as crews and first responders worked the scene. No information has been released on whether or not anybody else was injured in the crash. This incident is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
