Earlier this week, there was a fatal crash on the southbound side of the 710 Freeway through South Gate. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened at about 1:10 a.m. on Thursday morning. Apparently, there were two vehicles involved and both of them came to a stop against the center divider of the freeway.  

Initial reports indicate that one person was found in the roadway beside the wreckage. She was pronounced dead on the scene, but there has been no word on whether or not she was ejected from the vehicle during the crash or if she got out of the vehicle before being struck by another car. An additional two cars were involved in the incident after the initial crash. This fatal wreck is likely still under investigation with law enforcement officials.
