Earlier this week, a crash involving a suspected drunk driver took the life of a cyclist in Huntington Beach. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened on Tuesday evening on the southbound side of the Pacific Coast Highway, north of Admiralty Drive. Initial reports indicate that a Toyota RAV4 struck the 42-year-old cyclist.

First responders rushed to the scene. The injured cyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but he did not survive his injuries. The 70-year-old driver of the RAV4 was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, but this incident is still under investigation with local law enforcement officials. Witnesses or anybody with information about the crash are being asked to contact the local police department at this time.
