Earlier this week, there was a fatal hit-and-run crash in West Los Angeles. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the collision happened on the 405 Freeway at about 10:45 p.m. on Monday night. Initial reports indicate that the incident occurred in the southbound lanes of the freeway, near Santa Monica Boulevard.  

For currently unknown reasons, a pedestrian was reportedly running on the shoulder of the freeway when he was fatally struck by a vehicle. At this time, that person has only been described as a 66-year-old man. A Sig Alert was issued, and the southbound side of the freeway had to be closed as crews and first responders worked the scene. Law enforcement officers are on the lookout for the vehicle involved in the crash, which is believed to be a white Toyota sedan.
