Earlier this week, there was a fatal hit-and-run crash in the Wilmington area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened on Monday afternoon near the intersection of Banning Boulevard and Anaheim Street. The pedestrian was reportedly crossing Banning Boulevard in an unmarked crosswalk when the driver struck him. The hit-and-run driver didn’t stop and continued northbound on Banning at high speeds.

The injured pedestrian was rushed to the hospital, but he did not survive. At the time of the news report, there was no information released on the type of car involved. At this time, this fatal hit-and-run crash is still under investigation, and there is a $50,000 reward being offered to anyone who provides information leading to the driver’s identity, arrest and conviction.
