Last weekend, there was a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a dirt bike in the Hyde Park area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened on Sunday afternoon on 54th Street. A dark sedan reportedly made some type of unsafe turning movement and pulled out in front of the dirt bike. The rider of the dirt bike was unable to avoid the vehicle and struck the back of the car. The rider was ejected from the bike and onto the pavement.   

Although the dirt bike rider was transported to a hospital, he did not survive his injuries. The sedan fled the scene. At the time of the news report, a reward was being offered for any information leading to the hit-and-run driver.
