Last week, there was a fatal motorcycle crash in the Lake Murray area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened near the intersection of Navajo Road and Bisby Lake Avenue. Initial reports indicate that the motorcycle rider, a 67-year-old man, was on his 1986 Yamaha SRX-6 when a driver in a 2020 Kia Soul ran a red light at Bisby Lake Avenue and drove directly into his path.

The motorcyclist attempted to avoid the collision by hitting his breaks, but lost control of his bike, fell into the roadway and hit the Kia. First responders rushed to the scene. Although the injured motorcycle rider was transported to a local hospital, he did not survive his injuries. At this time, there has been no word on what citations or charges the other driver is facing.
