Last week, there was a fatal multi-vehicle crash in Oceanside. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Interstate 5 on Wednesday night. Initial reports indicate that a suspected drunk driver was heading northbound in a black Corvette, near State Route 78, when he veered onto the right shoulder and hit a parked Dodge Caliber. The Corvette got back to the roadway and then hit a semi truck before coming to a stop. 

The Corvette driver tried to flee on foot, but he was later apprehended. A female passenger in the Dodge Caliber was killed in the crash. At least four other people were injured and transported to a local hospital. The driver of the Corvette is currently facing multiple charges including gross vehicular manslaughter and felony driving under the influence.
