Earlier this week, there was a fatal pedestrian crash in the Valley Center area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Tuesday night on Lilac Road. Initial reports indicate that the pedestrian was trying to cross Lilac Road, west of Hideaway Lake Road, at about 8:30 p.m., when he was struck by two vehicles.  

A Nissan Kicks, driven by a 19-year-old woman, and a Dodge Caravan, Driven by a 63-year-old man, both hit the 32-year-old pedestrian. Although first responders rushed to the scene and attempted life-saving measures, the pedestrian did not survive his injuries. At the time of the news report, there was no word on whether or not either driver was facing any citations or charges associated with the wreck. This incident is likely still under investigation.
