Earlier this week, there was a fatal scooter crash in the Riverside area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened early Wednesday morning sometime before 6:36 a.m. For currently unknown reasons, the scooter rider, a 30-year-old Moreno Valley resident, lost control of his blue Vitacci scooter and struck a light pole. The wreck happened in the northbound lanes of Alessandro Avenue, north of Glenhaven Avenue.  

First responders rushed to the scene. Sadly, the scooter rider did not survive his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Very few details about this crash have been released, and authorities are asking anybody with information about the wreck to come forward, as the incident is still under investigation.
