Earlier this week, there was a fatal crash in North Hills. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the suspected drunk driver reportedly ran a red light before slamming into another vehicle. Initial reports indicate that the 1999 Chevrolet truck was headed southbound on Woodley Avenue at a high rate of speed when it ran a red light and crashed into a Nissan sedan. The Nissan was turning left onto westbound Parthenia Street when it was hit by the pickup truck.   

The pickup truck overturned, and the Nissan went onto the sidewalk and hit a light pole. The driver of the Nissan, a woman in her 30s, was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, but she did not survive. The pickup truck driver was injured and also taken to a local hospital. That person is expected to be facing possible drunk driving charges.
