Over the weekend, there was a fatal SUV crash on Interstate Five. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Sunday afternoon near Camp Pendleton. For currently unknown reasons, the SUV left the roadway and crashed into a tree. Initial reports indicate that a 21-year-old driver was killed in the crash. There were two passenger occupants in the vehicle, a 26-year-old woman and a three-year-old girl, and they were both injured.   

First responders rushed to the scene. In spite of attempting life-saving measures, the driver did not survive his injuries. Both of the passengers were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries. This fatal crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
