Over the weekend, a pedestrian was killed in a train collision in Vista. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened early Sunday morning before 5:00 a.m. Initial reports indicate that the pedestrian was hit near mile-post marker 109.5 on the North County Transit District line that goes from Oceanside Transit Center to the Escondido Transit Center. 

At the time of the news report, there was no word on the person’s identity or how this fatal collision with a train actually happened. Apparently, this was the second fatal train incident reported over the weekend. Very few details about this collision or the other one have been released. This incident is likely still under investigation with authorities.
