Fire Truck Struck by Cars While Attending a Separate Crash
On Saturday morning in Fremont, a fire truck was hit by two vehicles on separate occasions while on scene for a different car accident. According to KRON4, at around 7:00 am Fremont firefighters responded to a car accident south of the Andrade exit on northbound I-680. They parked their fire truck near a patient’s car to protect the location of the accident. While attending to the patient, two cars ended up hitting the fire truck on two separate occasions.
No firefighters were injured in the incident. One of the drivers that hit the fire truck sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. At the time of the report, CHP was still investigating the cause of the collisions.
