Earlier this week, there was a fatal head-on collision involving a semi truck near Lakeside. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the crash happened in the Glenview area on Los Coches Road near Lakeview Road. Apparently, a northbound Audi A6 drifted into the path of a southbound Helix Water District dump truck and crashed head on.  

First responders rushed to the scene. The Audi driver was severely injured, and in spite of being rushed to a trauma center, he did not survive. A passenger in that car and the truck driver were taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. At this time, there has been no word on their current conditions or o the full extent of injuries involved. This crash is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
