Earlier this week, a hit-and-run driver struck a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) motorcycle officer. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened on Monday morning, on the 10 Freeway in West Covina. Initial reports indicate that the LAPD motorcycle officer was down on the westbound side of the freeway, just east of Azusa Avenue, sometime around 6:30 a.m.  

At this time, there has been no word on exactly what happened in this hit-and-run crash. CHP officers responded to the scene, and this incident is likely still under investigation with law enforcement officials. Additionally, no information has been released about what kind of injuries the motorcycle officer sustained. Witnesses are likely being asked to come forward with any information regarding this collision.
