Earlier this week, a hit-and-run driver struck a patrol car in the Bankers Hill area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened early Tuesday morning at about 3:45 a.m. Initial reports indicate that a vehicle hit the San Diego Police Department (SDPD) patrol car while it was on the 2100 block of Front Street.  

The driver fled the scene, but the patrol car followed it, and was able to pull the vehicle over several blocks away. At this time, there has been no word on whether or not any charges or citations have been issued, but we do know that the driver and passengers were detained for questioning. Additionally, the driver was evaluated for possible driving under the influence (DUI).
