Earlier this week, two people were injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Wilmington area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the collision happened at about 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning near the intersection of Anaheim Street and Island Avenue. Initial reports indicate that a white sedan struck two people and fled the scene.   

When first responders arrived on the scene, they immediately rushed the two injured people to a local hospital for treatment. At the time of the news report, the injured pedestrians were listed as being in critical condition. No information has been released on whether or not authorities have located the driver of the white sedan, and this hit-and-run crash is likely still under investigation.
