Intentional Hit-And-Run Kills Pedestrian in San Jose
On Tuesday morning, a driver intentionally struck and killed a pedestrian in San Jose. According to CBS News, the crash took place around 5:10 am at Berryessa Road and North Capitol Avenue. Officers arrived on scene to find an unconscious man pinned under a minivan and suffering from major injuries. The victim was not breathing and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. A preliminary police investigation determined that the crash was intentional and that the suspect and victim knew each other. The suspect was arrested later that day and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for murder. At the time of the report, the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident were under investigation.
