On Thursday, a Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on a 10 Freeway transition road. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened on the eastbound 10 Freeway and southbound 110 Freeway transition road. The suspected hit-and-run driver was in a black Tesla with a damaged front end.  

When first responders arrived on the scene, they immediately transported the injured motorcycle officer to a nearby hospital. At the time of the news report, there was no word on the condition of the injured officer or on the full extent of injuries involved. A portion of the 10 Freeway was backed up for miles as crews worked the scene. This wreck is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
