On Tuesday night in East Los Angeles, a man was arrested on suspicion of fatally striking a pedestrian with his car. According to KTLA, the man was driving a red Toyota Celica when he hit the victim at the intersection of Olympic and Atlanta boulevards around 11:00 pm. The driver the fled the scene. Authorities later located his wrecked Toyota in the parking lot of a casino, a short distance from the site of the collision.  

Police eventually tracked the man to a residence in Larchmont, about 14 miles away from the crash site. He was taken into custody early Wednesday morning. At the time of the report, the charges against the driver were not confirmed.
