On Tuesday morning, a car jumped a curb and smashed into a 7-Eleven store in City Heights. The crash occurred around 4:45 am at the store on University Avenue, near Fairmount Avenue, according to ABC 10 News. A grey Nissan Rogue took the front door off its hinges, shattered the connecting window, and knocked out several electrical wires. Only one person, an employee, was inside the store at the time. There were no injuries reported.

At the time of the report, the incident was believed to be an accident. The driver had apparently been startled by several people who had approached his car, causing him to unintentionally push the gas and drive into the store, stated FOX 5 San Diego. The car was towed from the shop around 6:00 am. The store was shut down for several hours.
