Man Flips Car, Pins Himself in West Covina After Fleeing From Police
On Tuesday afternoon, a man crashed his car after fleeing from police through eastern Los Angeles County. According to FOX 11 LA, La Verne police attempted to pull over a car that had been reported as stolen, but the driver instead took off. As the driver drove on and off the 10 Freeway, the woman in his passenger seat attempted to get out of the vehicle multiple times. The driver eventually slowed down to let the woman out, but drove away afterwards.
The chase ended at the intersection off Garvey Avenue and Barranca Street in West Covina, where the driver hit another car and caused his own vehicle to flip, pinning him underneath. He was extracted and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. At the time of the report, police said the driver would be held on multiple charges, including felony evading arrest.
