Motorcycle Rider Killed in Crash With Horse Trailer
Earlier this week, a motorcycle rider was killed in a crash involving a horse trailer. According to ABC News Channel 10, the incident happened on Interstate Five, near Camp Pendleton. Apparently, the 20-year-old rider was on the southbound side of I-5, near Las Pulgas Road, when for unknown reasons, his Suzuki motorcycle crashed into the back of a horse trailer. There were no horses in the trailer at the time of the crash, and it was being towed by a Ford pickup truck.
A portion of the roadway had to be closed for two hours as crews and first responders worked the scene. The motorcycle rider was described as a Lakewood resident. He did not survive his injuries. Anybody with information about this wreck is being asked to contact the California Highway Patrol.
