On Wednesday afternoon, a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after colliding with a truck in San Diego. The crash happened around 4:30 pm at the Washington Street and 3rd Avenue intersection in Hillcrest, according to FOX 5 San Diego. The driver of a black 2016 GMC Sierra truck was traveling westbound on the 300 block of Washington Street and went to turn left onto southbound 3rd Avenue facing a green traffic light. At the same time, a motorcyclist riding a 2010 Aprilia RSV4 sport approached the intersection eastbound on Washington Street. The rider unsafely passed vehicles along the right shoulder, entered the intersection on a green traffic light, and collided with the truck.  

The motorcyclist sustained a skull fracture and a brain bleed. At the time of the report, authorities confirmed that driving under the influence did not play a role in the incident.
