On Tuesday night, a person was killed following a crash on Interstate 280 near Redwood City. The incident occurred around 10:00 pm near the Edgewood Road offramp, according to The Mercury News. A stalled GMC was blocking the interstate’s third lane southbound when two vehicles stopped on the right shoulder to offer help. Two people exited one of the stopped cars. A BMW traveling in the third lane then hit both the stalled vehicle and one of the assisting vehicles on the shoulder.  

One person was pronounced dead, and two others were taken to the hospital for major and minor injuries. At the time of the report, the investigation into the collision was ongoing.
