Earlier this week, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s patrol car was involved in a crash with a suspected DUI driver. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday, at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Telegraph Road. Initial reports indicate that the deputy’s vehicle was struck by the suspected drunk driver at the intersection.   

The deputy was injured in the crash, and the suspected drunk driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Both vehicles also sustained major damage in the crash. There has been no word on the official charges associated with this wreck, which could still be under investigation with local authorities.
