Last week, a pedestrian was fatally struck on I-5. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened in the southbound lanes of the highway on Thursday evening. For currently unknown reasons, a pedestrian was struck sometime around 8:42 p.m. Initial reports indicate that multiple vehicles may have hit the pedestrian.   

First responders rushed to the scene, and a Sig Alert was issued. All southbound lanes had to be closed as law enforcement officials and crews worked the scene. At this time, very few details have been released on how and why this fatal pedestrian crash happened. The collision is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
