Earlier this week, a pedestrian was struck and severely injured in Kearny Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened late on Monday night. Initial reports indicate that a 37-year-old man was walking near the 7400 block of Copley Park Place just before midnight, when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they had to rush the injured pedestrian to a local hospital. He broke seven ribs and was suffering from a brain bleed. At the time of the news report, there was no word on whether or not authorities had any leads on the hit-and-run driver. This incident is likely still under investigation with local law enforcement officials.
