Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Truck Crash in Allied Gardens
On Sunday night, a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car in Allied Gardens. The incident happened around 8:00 pm in the 7300 Mission Gorge Road area, according to FOX 5 San Diego. The pedestrian was running northbound on Mission Gorge when she ran in front of a westbound Toyota Highlander, which then hit her. She sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for surgery. The Toyota driver was not injured.
The San Diego Police Department reported that alcohol played a role in the collision, but it was unclear which involved party had been under the influence. At the time of the report, the investigation was ongoing.
