Pedestrian Struck by Car, Critically Injured in Central Fresno
On Sunday night, a pedestrian sustained major injuries after being struck by a car in Central Fresno. According to ABC 30, the incident took place around 10:00 pm just south of Dakota Avenue at Blackstone and Garland avenues. A woman in her late 20s was leaving the ARCO gas station going eastbound when she was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound at 40 to 45 miles per hour.
The woman was taken to the hospital and reported to be in critical condition. The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with police at the time of the report. Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
