Over the weekend, a pedestrian was struck by a truck on a San Diego Street. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened in the Redwood Village area on Saturday afternoon. Apparently, the 36-year-old man was standing on the side of College Avenue, in the 4200 block, when a 73-year-old driver in a Nissan Titan truck hit him.  

The driver was reportedly trying to make a left turn onto northbound College Avenue from University Avenue when he hit the pedestrian. First responders rushed to the scene, and the injured pedestrian had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries including a lacerated liver. At the time of the report, he was expected to survive, but there has been no word on his current condition, and this crash is likely still under investigation with authorities.
