Early Sunday morning, a scooter rider was killed in East Hollywood. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened early Sunday morning. Initial reports indicate that a man was riding on a Lime electric scooter on Western Avenue, north of Sierra Vista Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle. According to law enforcement officials, the collision happened sometime before 2:30 a.m. and involved a black sedan.  

The man was ejected from the scooter and landed on the roadway. He was then struck by a silver Lexus. The black sedan fled the scene, but the driver of the Lexus pulled over and called for help. The scooter rider was rushed to a local hospital, but he did not survive his injuries. At this time, authorities are looking for a 2001-2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse convertible.
