Earlier this week, there was a semi truck crash on Interstate Five near Grapevine. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the wreck happened on the southbound side of the roadway, just north of Castaic. For currently unknown reasons, the big rig crashed into a guardrail, and caused an extensive amount of damage to it. The wreck pushed the guardrail across the interstate highway, and all southbound lanes ended up being blocked.

First responders and crews rushed to the scene. All southbound traffic had to be diverted to eastbound State Route 138. Other tractor trailers had to be turned around for the detour. At the time of the report, there was no information on the cause of the truck crash, which could still be under investigation with authorities.
