Earlier this week, a skateboarder was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Chula Vista. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the collision happened on Wednesday morning on E Street. Initial reports indicate that a white Mercedes was going about 35 to 45 miles per hour, when it struck a man on a skateboard. The man on the skateboard was tossed up and over the roof of the car.  

The Mercedes emblem from the vehicle’s grill was found at the scene. The skateboarder was rushed to UC San Diego Medical Center for treatment of injuries. There has been no word on that person’s current condition or on the full extent of injuries involved. Additionally, no information has been released on whether or not law enforcement officials have apprehended the hit-and-run driver.
