Earlier this week, two teen girls were struck and injured by a vehicle in a crosswalk near Redlands High School. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the incident happened on Wednesday morning at about 7:30 a.m. Initial reports indicate that the two girls were in the crosswalk at Citrus Avenue and Church Street when a Toyota pickup truck hit them.

Apparently, the driver was trying to make a left turn on Citrus at the time of the crash. He reportedly said his view was obstructed by fog on his windshield and the sun, and didn’t see the teens before hitting them. The two girls were transported to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. This incident may still be under investigation with local law enforcement authorities.
