Three People Injured After Being Struck by Stolen Vehicle
On Sunday night, a stolen Hyundai driven by two teenagers crashed into another vehicle in downtown Fresno. According to the Fresno Bee, the collision occurred in the intersection of Fulton and Van Ness around 7:40 pm after the teen driver allegedly ran a red light. As a precautionary measure, the teens were taken to the hospital. The three occupants of the other vehicle were also taken to the hospital after complaining of pain.
Officers had apparently attempted to stop the Hyundai earlier for traffic infractions. The car did not stop, but officers backed off after a short pursuit due to unsafe driving by the teen driver. The traffic collision was reported eight minutes later.
