On Tuesday night, a toddler was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash in Chula Vista. The collision happened around 11:45 pm at the East Palomar Street and Brandywine Avenue intersection, according to Patch. Police arrived to find the child unresponsive. She was transported to a trauma center, where she remained in critical condition. Three women in the other involved vehicle had complaints of pain and were taken to a hospital.   

The driver of the car that contained the child was arrested on suspicion of multiple offenses, including driving under the influence and child endangerment. At the time of the report, the crash remained under investigation.
