Last week, there was a tractor-trailer crash on the Five Freeway in the unincorporated Santa Susana Mountains area. According to KTLA News Channel Five, the big rig overturned and spilled its contents onto the freeway on Wednesday afternoon. Apparently, the truck was hauling about 14,000 pounds of stone countertops at the time of the crash. Although very few details about this wreck have been released, we do know that two vehicles were involved, and one person was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.

Portions of the freeway had to be closed as crews and first responders worked the scene. At this time, there has been no word on the cause of this truck crash, which may still be under investigation with the California Highway Patrol.
