Earlier this week, a truck crashed into a water valve and a utility pole in the Spring Valley area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Wednesday at about 12:48 a.m. Initial reports indicate that the pickup truck was on the 900 block of Presa Avenue when it hit the pole and valve. The water valve was sheared off, and there was water shooting about 50 feet up into the air.

Residents in the area used trash cans, brick and other items to try to stop their homes from getting flooded. At least two homes sustained water damage, and several backyards were also under water. Crews rushed to the scene to turn off the water, and the driver involved was taken into custody, but there has been no word on charges or citations associated with this incident.
