Two People Dead After Attempted Hit and Run Crash in Los Angeles
Earlier this week, a car crash left two people dead in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Jefferson Park. According to KTLA, the crash happened near Arlington Avenue and 29th Street around 12 pm. Police reports indicate that the male driver of a BMW sedan rear-ended a parked UPS truck at high speed, possibly causing the sedan to become airborne where it collided with multiple cars. Two passengers were ejected from the BMW and declared dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Witnesses reported that moments after the collision, the BMW driver exited the vehicle and attempted to flee the scene. The man was eventually captured several blocks away and taken into custody. At the time of the report, the exact cause of the collision is still being investigated.
