Early Sunday morning, two drivers were injured after crashing into trees in Chula Vista in separate incidents. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the first crash happened just after 1:00 a.m. on the 200 block of Fourth Avenue. That driver reportedly hit a palm tree in the center divider of the road. That person was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, and he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A little over an hour later, another driver lost control of her vehicle and hit a tree on Pepper Tree Road.
