Last week, a vehicle left Interstate Eight and struck a business in La Mesa. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the wreck happened early Thursday morning at a strip mall near Jackson Drive. For currently unknown reasons, the driver lost control of their vehicle on the off-ramp from eastbound I-8 to Jackson Drive.

The vehicle left the roadway, went down an embankment and crashed into a business on the 5200 block of Jackson Drive. At the time of the news report, there were no major injuries reported. A structural engineer had to be called to the scene to determine if the building was going to collapse before they could remove the vehicle. At this time, there has been no word on whether or not that driver is facing any citations or charges associated with the wreck.
