On Sunday morning, one person was killed and three others seriously injured in a violent single-vehicle crash in Los Angeles. The incident occurred around 12:50 am on the 134 Freeway eastbound connector with the southbound 5 Freeway in Griffith Park, according to KTLA. Officers arrived on scene to find a sedan on its roof with major damage. CBS News reported that the driver had been traveling southbound on I-5 when he lost control of the car, veered right, and crashed into the metal guardrail.  

One of the car’s occupants was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were trapped and had to be freed with hydraulic rescue tools. A fourth occupant was able to get out on their own. At the time of the report, one of the victims was reported to be in grave condition while the other two were in critical condition. Neither drugs nor alcohol were believed to be factors in the crash.
