Over the weekend, a woman was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver in the Southcrest area. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened on Saturday night on the 1400 block of Rigel Street. The 37-year-old woman was reportedly walking southbound across Rigel when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle. 

The vehicle fled the scene, and when first responders arrived, they had to take the injured pedestrian to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. Thankfully, her injuries were described as non-life threatening, but we do know that she suffered from a pelvic fracture. At the time of the report, this incident was still under investigation, and authorities were asking anybody with information about the driver involved to come forward.
