Woman Sustains Major Injuries Following 2-Car Crash on Highway 101
On Tuesday morning, a woman sustained major injuries following a two-car crash on Highway 101 south of Santa Margarita. According to the San Luis Obispo Tribune, the collision took place around 8:50 am near the Cuesta Grade, on the southbound side of Highway 101 at Tassajara Creek Road. A 2011 Toyota Camry was headed east on Tassajara Creek Road when it pulled out in front of a 2017 Honda Civic traveling south. The front of the Honda collided with the Toyota’s left rear, causing major damage to both vehicles and injuries to their occupants.
The male Honda driver sustained minor facial injuries and torso pain. The female Toyota driver suffered substantial injuries and was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. At the time of the report, neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected as factors in the crash.
