Wrecked Car Suspended in Air by Hydrant After Crash in Orange County
On Saturday evening, a car was suspended in the air by a sheared fire hydrant following a two-car crash in Lake Forest. The incident took place around 6:30 pm near Heidi Avenue and Jeronimo Road, according to CBS News. Firefighters arrived on scene to find one of the two involved cars with its rear end suspended above the ground where the fire hydrant once sat, held in the air by a powerful flow of water. Both occupants of the vehicles had gotten out of their cars unassisted before being taken to the hospital for treatment.
Firefighters were able to reduce the water’s flow and lower the car before turning off the water completely. At the time of the report, it was unclear what had caused the crash.
