Over the weekend, there was a wrong-way injury crash in Claremont. According to ABC San Diego News Channel 10, the incident happened early Sunday morning at about 5:00 a.m., near University City and Claremont. At least three people were injured in this wrong-way suspected DUI crash. Apparently, the vehicle was going south in the northbound lanes of Interstate 805, when it crashed into a center divider and went down an embankment.  

The vehicle landed in a westbound lane of State Route 52. First responders had to free the driver and two passengers who were trapped in the overturned vehicle. They were all taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for treatment of injuries. The driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
