Elderly Pedestrian Killed in Coronado

On Monday evening, an elderly pedestrian was struck and killed while trying to cross a street in Coronado. According to NBC San Diego Channel Seven News, the incident happened just before 5:00 p.m., at the intersection of 4th Street and A Avenue. Apparently, as he was crossing the street, a small pickup truck struck him. Although the 70-year-old pedestrian was rushed to the hospital, he died as a result of his injuries.

This isn’t the first pedestrian collision at this intersection. Last year, a child was struck and suffered from severe traumatic brain injuries at the same location. Residents in the area report that speeding is a problem on this particular stretch of roadway.

The team at Harris Personal Injury Lawyers, Inc. sends their deepest condolences to the family members and friends of the elderly pedestrian.
